The Gathering celebrates 30 years of Mandylion with the return of Anneke van Giersbergen. On 25 May 2026, the Dutch band will take over the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette to put back at the center the album that shaped its atmospheric rock/metal identity. Anneke will return to the microphone to perform the tracks from Mandylion once again, while the setlist will also draw on other standout songs from her time with the band.
Mandylion remains a milestone for The Gathering, with dense guitars, enveloping keyboards and clear vocals. On stage, the band rediscovers the intensity of that period and offers a focused panorama of those years. After launching in the Netherlands in 2025, this celebration will tour Europe in spring and summer 2026. At the Rockhal, it is the perfect opportunity to dive back into this repertoire and gauge the imprint those songs left on the band's trajectory.
