Yves Jamait

On April 23, 2026, at the Centre Socioculturel de la Blaiserie in Poitiers, Yves Jamait presents a very personal concert: he explores the work of Maxime Le Forestier, the singer-songwriter who has played a significant role in his artistic journey. As a teenager he discovered these songs; today he tells their stories, reinterprets them and weaves them into his own narrative. On stage he will be joined by Michel Haumont, a guitarist who has often collaborated with Maxime Le Forestier, and by Jérôme Broyer, a long-time partner. Together they adopt a spare, precise acoustic format in which guitars and voices give the lyrics room to breathe. Jamait brings forward the songs that have accompanied his path and offers a contemporary reading, attentive to both words and arrangements. An opportunity to rediscover a repertoire of French chanson through the perspective of a singer-songwriter who recognizes himself in it, and to share a musical trajectory shaped by these songs.
