Info

On 21 March 2026 at Interference Balma, Airbourne arrived with an uncompromising dose of hard rock, preceded by Asomwel as the opening act.

Formed in 2003 in Warrnambool around brothers Joel and Ryan O’Keeffe, the Australians developed a sound steeped in ’70s and ’80s rock, balancing razor-sharp riffs with earworm choruses. With Justin Street on bass and Harri Harrison on rhythm guitar, the band made their name with Runnin’ Wild in 2007, propelled by “Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast” and the title track. They followed with No Guts. No Glory. (2010), Black Dog Barking (2013), Breakin’ Outta Hell (2016) and Boneshaker (2019) — records that all confirm a clear stance: get straight to the point. On stage, Airbourne moves forward with high-octane energy, playing loud, no-frills rock, and a knack for connecting with the audience that carries the room. After several years without new material, the band returned with a recent single, aiming to kickstart momentum ahead of the tour.

As the opener, Asomwel, a British heavy metal outfit, set the scene with an in-your-face performance and sharp riffs, enough to raise the tension before Airbourne’s entrance.
