Info
Daniel Lavoie returns to the stage to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Tension attention, a pivotal album released in 1983 that marked a turning point in his career as a singer-songwriter, both in Quebec and in France. At the Cité des congrès in Nantes on 24 March 2026, he dives back into this repertoire that has accompanied so many listening experiences and still reveals its precise songwriting and sense of melody today. The concert highlights his standout songs from that period, but also the broader world of a musician who has managed to stand the test of time without losing his artistic line.
On stage, Daniel Lavoie is supported by a solid band that carries his arrangements with finesse: Jean-François Groulx on piano and musical direction, Paul Brochu on drums, Mathieu Désy on double bass and Laurent Guardo on percussion. He is also joined by backing vocalists Karine Pion, Émilie Pompa and Myelle, who add depth to the harmonies and emphasize the vocal color that is the signature of his songs. It’s an opportunity to rediscover a major artist of francophone song in a stage format designed for intimacy and sound.
