Info
17 March 2026 at Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, French Police and Sad Madona share the bill for a darkwave dive between melancholy and pulse.
Formed in Chicago, French Police perform as a trio with Brian Flores on vocals and guitar, Manny Herrera on lead guitar and Rolando Donjuan on bass. Since 2019 the band has been carving out a path between indie and post‑punk, driven by tight rhythmic guitars, precise synth lines and a bass that pushes toward the dancefloor. Their songs balance tension and romance without melodrama, establishing a cold yet fluid line crafted for bodies and night owls. They bring to mind dark, immediate anthems—the kind that stay in your head after the show.
Sad Madona is a Parisian solo project that intersects darkwave, coldwave, post‑punk and shards of shoegaze. Crisp drum machines, reverberant guitars, sweeping synth pads and vocals that play in light and shadow create a sound that seeks physical impact as much as nuance. The material is dramatic without being overloaded, direct yet sensitive, with buildups that invite dancing. A solo format that preserves studio intimacy while retaining stage energy, for an aesthetic at once rough and enveloping.
