Axel Bauer

Axel Bauer will be appearing at the THÉÂTRE de L’ÉDEN in Sénas on 27 March 2026 for a concert that spans his different eras. A leading figure of French rock since 1984, he builds on the momentum of Radio Londres and unveils on stage the material from his eighth studio album, conceived to be freer, more expansive and richer, while reconnecting with the electric energy that has shaped his career.

Written and composed by the artist, the new songs are supported by lyrical contributions from Pierre-Yves Lebert, Boris Bergman and Brigitte Fontaine. The music is taut and instinctive, blending rock energy, groove and melody, with echoes of Bowie or Prince without losing his signature. The sounds range from the 1970s to the 2000s, between rock, pop and chanson. The track “Merde à la mer,” a duet with Brigitte Fontaine, sets the tone: sharp and playful. On stage, Axel Bauer emphasizes urgency, the band’s dynamics and a voice in the foreground. It’s an opportunity to rediscover a songwriter-composer on the move, revisiting his repertoire and opening up new directions.
