Alborosie & Shengen Clan

On April 8, 2026, Alborosie and the Shengen Clan take over the Splendid Lille. Born Alberto D’Ascola in Sicily, he left Italy more than twenty years ago to settle in Jamaica and immerse himself in the heart of reggae culture. On stage, he moves between roots, rub-a-dub, raggamuffin, dancehall and dub, combining expansive singing with incisive toasting that has become his signature. After thousands of concerts and millions of plays, he is back on the road to support a new album, with recent tracks that will sit alongside his classics.

His discography includes milestones such as Soul Pirate and early anthems like Kingston Town and Herbalist. His 2023 album Destiny brought together Kabaka Pyramid, Buju Banton, Jaz Elise and Burro Banton, confirming a trajectory that bridges heritage and the present. Equally a producer and an artist, he has collaborated with Ky-Mani Marley, Joe Mersa Marley, Collie Buddz, Roots Radics, The Wailers United and King Jammy, and produced Wailing Souls’ album Back A Yard. Winner of the MOBO Award for Best Reggae Act in 2011, he pursues an approach faithful both to his roots and to contemporary issues, exemplified by the Shadows After Dark project against human trafficking. In Lille, Alborosie brings all of this together live, surrounded by his Shengen Clan.
