L'Héritage Goldman 2

L’Héritage Goldman 2 brings to the stage the troupe that revives Jean-Jacques Goldman’s work under the direction of Erick Benzi, the singer’s longtime collaborator. The collective revisits Goldman's signature songs as well as pieces he composed for other leading voices of French chanson. Among the repertoire are “Pour que tu m’aimes encore,” “Il me dit que je suis belle,” “Si tu veux m’essayer,” “L’Envie,” and “Aïcha,” alongside hits written and performed by Jean-Jacques himself. The idea is simple and effective: a journey through a repertoire that marked several generations, carried by a lineup faithful to the original spirit. On the bill are about 25 tracks over two hours, conceived as a continuous set where ballads and more electric numbers follow one another, without forced nostalgia or a rigid re-creation. The arrangements pay careful attention to vocal harmonies and the group’s dynamics, aiming to bring the songwriting and melody—the core of the project—to the fore.
