Mathieu Madénian returns with A pleurer de rire, a new show in which he frankly recounts how the late arrival of his first child upended his life and his certainties. With his self-deprecating humor, the comedian dissects the crash-course learning of fatherhood: reconciling an old-fashioned upbringing with today’s codes, answering questions of gender while he still doesn’t understand TikTok, and avoiding the ‘boomer’ label while trying to stay up to date. On stage, he turns everyday scenes into storytelling material, owns his blunders and missteps, and draws lessons from a little boy who, barely arrived, is already pushing him to rethink his priorities. A personal, direct stand-up show about family, our times, and the things that sometimes overwhelm us. Scheduled for 22 March 2026 at the Casino Barrière de Lille, Lille.
