La Maison Tellier

As part of the Le Haillan Chanté festival, La Maison Tellier returns to L’Entrepôt Le Haillan on June 12, 2026. The quintet from Rouen blends folk rock and chanson, carried by Helmut’s voice and guitars that move between grit and gentleness. Helmut, Raoul and Jeff Tellier, joined by Léopold on brass and Elizabeth—known as Betty—on bass and double bass, are presenting Folklove, their eighth album.

Since 2005, the band has been forging its path with precise acoustic arrangements, melodies that settle in effortlessly, and lyrics that look reality squarely in the face. Folklove reopens their trunk of influences, from Calexico’s Tex‑Mex mariachis to the veiled ballads dear to Shane MacGowan, and even the Sahelian dust of Ali Farka Touré. On stage, the group alternates new tracks and signature pieces, gives space to the brass, seeks a balance between tension and balladry, and relies on the unmistakable sound of playing together.
