Les Négresses Vertes will be at Casino Terrazur in Cagnes-sur-Mer on March 13, 2026. Formed in Paris in the late 1980s, the band forged a sound at the crossroads of rock, punk, Mediterranean music and popular dance-hall traditions. Accordion, guitars, percussion and brass lay down the line, with choruses that have become familiar: Zobi la mouche, Voilà l’été, Sous le soleil de Bodega. On stage, the songs are revisited and rearranged without losing their street pulse or their dry humor.
Between gypsy-guitar riffs, ska inflections and swaying rhythms, the material remains acoustic and taut, driven by a gravelly lead voice and multi-part harmonies. The group alternates propulsive, rousing bursts and slower respites, like a journey that crosses memories and the present.
