Info
Olivier de Benoist, a comedian with a finely honed knack for a punchline, stops by the Zénith in Pau on November 27, 2026. His new one-man show digs into a simple, piquant theme: the quest for happiness. He thought he had found it with a family; he tells how that certainty cracked with his own characteristic aplomb. Between couplehood, children and the small daily acts of cowardice, he unfolds a deliberately teasing moral: to live happily, live hidden… and maybe a little far from his wife and children.
Written with Paul-Marie Debrie and Jérôme Daran, the show strings together domestic scenes and verbal reversals in a 90-minute format designed for the stage. ODB alternates confessions, barbs and very down-to-earth observations—direct but never gratuitously mean. His signature is there: precise delivery, a knack for detail that lands, and a taste for faulty reasoning that spins out of control. For context, his previous work, Le Petit Dernier, played 290 dates in France, Switzerland and Belgium and drew 125,000 spectators in theaters, before a wide TV broadcast. Here, he sets course for a new stage in his search for happiness, in stand-up form.
