Arthur H et Pierre Le Bourgeois

Arthur H and cellist Pierre Le Bourgeois meet on stage for a two-person conversation, both physical and sonic. The cello can weave a clear melody and then, suddenly biting, grind into a screech, while the piano, keyboards, guitar and Arthur H’s voice shift the lines between spoken poetry and pulse. The point of departure is acoustic, familiar, almost classical; very quickly, the duo delights in reshaping the material live through sampling, loops and some discreet tinkering. Pierre captures, layers and transforms; Arthur opens up, displaces and carves out spaces. Everything is made in full view, with an artisanal approach where gesture becomes music. Here, technology remains a tool in the service of listening, guided by decidedly human hands, to tell contemporary stories without getting lost in the machines.
