Yves Jamait

Yves Jamait presents Maxime and Me, a concert in which he explains how Maxime Le Forestier’s songs accompanied his beginnings and nourished his way of writing. Between confidences and covers, he unfolds a personal story made up of selected pieces, memories and texts that have followed him since adolescence. No affectation, just songs and straightforward speech, linking his journey to a repertoire that has mattered in his life as an artist.

He is accompanied by Michel Haumont, a fingerpicking guitarist who has often collaborated with Maxime Le Forestier, and Jérôme Broyer, Jamait’s long-time partner. Together they revisit well-known titles and more discreet ones, with an emphasis on attentive listening, the clarity of the guitars and respect for the words. The trio tightens the arrangements, lets the silences breathe and opens up space for the narrative.
