Jimmy Sax

Jimmy Sax returns with Toi & Moi, a new solo set conceived for the stage. On March 17, 2026 at the Théâtre Sébastopol in Lille, French saxophonist Jim Rolland, known as Jimmy Sax, sets up an intimate musical exchange in which each piece is built live. Alone with his decks and looper, he plays and records saxophone, piano, guitar, drums and vocals on the spot, then layers the tracks to revisit his repertoire in a rawer, more immediate form.

After the tour with the Symphonic Dance Orchestra, he refocuses the experience on what matters: a pared-down setup, loops that interweave, themes that are reshaped in real time. The show unfolds like a conversation: a sax line, a piano motif, a beat that locks in, then everything comes together. No unnecessary artifice—just the dialogue between the artist and the audience, the balance between groove and melody, and the freedom to let each piece evolve with the moment. Toi & Moi promises a genuine closeness to Jimmy Sax—his playing, his breaths, and his way of making music come alive on stage.
