Info
On February 27, 2027, Django Django returns to Paris, at La Gaîté Lyrique, with Doveland in tow, their sixth album. Three years after Off Planet, the London quartet tightens the frame and unfolds an album conceived as a road movie: cleaner, more narrative music, that allows for silences and clear lines without sacrificing the groove.
Recorded with Nick McCarthy (formerly of Franz Ferdinand), Doveland draws on an urban legend—the story of a Wisconsin city that no one is sure existed, yet everyone believes they knew it. On stage, Django Django translates this mirage into songs that fuse folklore with psychedelic pop, dry and dusty blues, guitars that are sometimes dry, sometimes saturated, tight vocal harmonies and electronic textures. Expect a set where the choruses grab you, where rhythms loop, and where the band plays on the edge between rock and a danceable pulse.
