Info
Toto celebrates its 50th anniversary on July 3, 2027, in the Stadspark in Groningen, with a show focused on the repertoire that has bound generations to the band since 1977. Expect the tight, Los Angeles–formed mix of FM rock, melodic pop, and that distinctive studio precision: prominent keyboards, a rhythm section that keeps everything on track, and guitars that can sound both smooth and sharp.
The set leans on the classic albums from the late seventies and early eighties, featuring songs that continue to prove themselves live, from "Hold the Line" to the timeless "Rosanna" and "Africa". In addition, there is room for material from the later phases, in which Toto shifted between soft-rock ballads and heavier material, without relinquishing those layered arrangements.
With Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams at the forefront, and a band that plays with attention to detail and dynamics, this is not a nostalgia trip but an evening in which you hear why Toto's songs so easily linger, even if you only recently discovered them.
