Info
On May 1, 2027, Steve Hackett brings his “Best of Genesis & Solo Gems Tour” to Massey Hall in Toronto, with a set built around the years that made him a key voice in British progressive rock. Expect a deep dive into the Genesis era he helped shape in the early 70s, when his guitar added color and edge to albums like Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.
This tour also puts his solo path front and center, from the symphonic sweep of Voyage of the Acolyte to the electric, melodic side of Spectral Mornings, with room for the acoustic and classical touch he’s explored on records like Bay of Kings. Hackett’s live band format is made for these long, carefully structured pieces: big dynamics, detailed arrangements, and a playing style that moves between atmospheric leads, intricate fingerpicking, and those instantly recognizable prog textures.
