Info
On February 5, 2027, Drukwerk will perform at Poppodium P60 in Amstelveen, with Harry Slinger as the recognizable focal point. The band hails from Amsterdam in the late seventies, and you can still hear it: Nederpop in Dutch, straight from the shoulder, with stories that seem to come from cafés, streets and the daily grind. Live, it’s all about choruses you can’t help singing along to, a set that smoothly shifts between direct pop, reggae and ska influences, and occasional more melancholic moments. Of course there is room for the early work that put Drukwerk on the map in the early eighties, with songs like 'Je loog tegen mij,' but also for the broader catalog with which the group toured venues, festivals and television for years. Expect no slick show, but an evening with language, rhythm and that quintessential Amsterdam sense of humor and observation.
