On August 10, 2027 at The Piece Hall in Halifax, Simply Red bring their soul-pop catalog back to the stage, built around Mick Hucknall’s unmistakable voice and that mix of blue-eyed soul, soft rock and light funk. Expect a set that moves between early breakthroughs and later, smoother classics: the melodic punch of “Money’s Too Tight (to Mention)”, the slow-burn emotion of “Holding Back the Years”, and the band’s 90s sweet spot with tracks like “If You Don’t Know Me by Now” and “Fairground”. On the same bill, Soul II Soul land with their London-born collective energy, shaped by sound system culture and street-soul attitude.
