Info
On November 12, 2026, at Cadogan Hall in London, trumpeter and arranger Takuya Kuroda brings his groove-driven take on modern jazz to the stage. Born in Japan and now based in Brooklyn, he’s built a sound where the trumpet moves freely between soulful jazz, funk, post-bop and hip-hop, with tight collective arrangements and a real sense of rhythm.
Known for pushing formats without losing the feel, Kuroda’s Blue Note period sharpened that balance: melodies that stick, beats that hit, and space for the band to breathe. With his album Everyday as a recent marker in his discography, this show is a chance to catch a musician who treats jazz like a living thing—rooted, but always in motion.
