If 1970s British pop often wavered between melody and experimentation, 10cc long refused to take sides. Formed in Stockport around Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley and Lol Creme, the group made a name for itself with ironic songwriting, finely crafted vocal harmonies and a genuine studio sensibility, capable of moving from an atmospheric ballad to a more direct pop track, then to tracks with more twisted structures. From the early days of 10cc and Sheet Music to key albums such as The Original Soundtrack and How Dare You!, their sophisticated pop-rock plays on contrasts and arrangements, without losing the sense of the chorus. After Godley and Creme left, Gouldman and Stewart continued the adventure with Deceptive Bends and Bloody Tourists, before 10cc became primarily a live band fronted by Gouldman. On March 24, 2027, at Usher Hall in Edinburgh, 'Another Bloody Greatest Hits Tour' brings this repertoire back to the foreground, between meticulous craftsmanship and immediate pleasure.
