On February 24, 2027, Michel Fugain returns to the Pin Galant stage in Mérignac with a new show, It’s the Story of Une Belle Histoire. More than a simple best-of, this encounter unfolds as a journey through his repertoire, mixing classics with a desire to sing in the here and now. After more than fifty years of French song, Fugain retains this sense of togetherness and of refrains that bring people together, inherited from the Big Bazar era as well as from his solo career.
On stage, he revives titles that have become familiar, from Une Belle Histoire to Fais comme l’Oiseau or La Fête, with arrangements designed for live performance and a storyteller’s energy. The aim is not to freeze the songs in nostalgia, but to let them circulate differently, with this blend of warmth, backing vocals and rhythm that suits him. An evening to rediscover a voice and a body of writing that have accompanied several generations, without affectation and with the enduring love of the stage.
