Lebanon Hanover is a duo that cuts straight to the heart: a minimalist, dry and elegant cold wave, fronted by the Swiss singer Larissa Iceglass and the British William Maybelline. Between looping basslines, mechanical rhythms, and detached vocals, they unfurl music that looks as much toward the new wave and the shadowy corners of the 80s as toward a distinctly contemporary sensibility. Their tracks move like nocturnal landscapes, between forests, shorelines, and cold cities, with a taste for contrasts: discreet romance, urban tension, restrained melancholy.
Formed in the early 2010s and long associated with Berlin, the project has built itself, album after album, from The World Is Getting Colder to Sci Fi Sky, while maintaining that pared-down, obsessive writing that makes sense especially on stage.
