Psykup, a live war machine, has crisscrossed France, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany, and has stormed international festivals such as Belfort’s Eurockéennes, the Download Festival France, Boulevard in Morocco, Rockstadt in Transylvania, as well as a Hellfest seized by their contagious madness. Psykup invites the listener to embrace life’s trials and to come out stronger, bolder. A return to the band’s roots with this album that embodies the very essence of its name: “the psyche on the rise.” Each track is a concentrated burst of raw energy, a fusion of convulsive aggression and carefully crafted melodies, in a carefree, unbridled musical shaker. Hardcore, jazz, death, funk, thrash and pop fuse to offer an explosive journey, both wild and accessible, where every note pushes the boundaries of madness. The Joke Of Tomorrow is Psykup’s experience: an album that defies conventions, toys with expectations and invites both reflection and celebration.

The tenth album and a turning point, with “Going Back Home,” 7 Weeks reveals itself in an internationally polished production. Produced and engineered by Adrian Bushby (two Grammys for his work with Foo Fighters and Muse), this opus, recorded between London and Birmingham, marks a return to the band’s distinctive heavy rock roots. The band, already fortified by an inventive and varied discography, yields to a raw power, stripped of all artifice, where only the effectiveness of the songwriting matters, in the tradition of Anglo-Saxon power trios. Based in Limoges, 7 Weeks is a pure product of independence and has released all of its productions on its own self-funded label, building its legitimacy step by step.
