Garmonbozia presents: The Last Internationale.
Formed in New York, The Last Internationale has been developing since the late 2000s a rock rooted in blues and folk, carried by the voice of bassist Delila Paz and the guitar of Edgey Pires. The duo first drew attention on New York's activist scene with songs inspired by social struggles and protest movements, before electrifying its sound and steering toward a more direct rock, nourished by references to 1970s hard rock and American protest songs.
The Last Internationale recorded its first album, We Will Reign, in 2014 for Epic, with the participation of drummer Brad Wilk and production by Brendan O’Brien, which established the band on rock circuits in the United States and Europe. After this major-label period, The Last Internationale returned to an independent path and released Soul on Fire in 2019, an album in which the group refocused its writing on a rawer energy and a blend of blues riffs, folk ballads and choruses with soulful accents.
On stage, the duo is regularly joined by various drummers, and continues a touring activity focused on clubs and international rock festivals, maintaining a repertoire marked by political themes, the memory of workers' struggles and questions of social justice. The Last Internationale will be performing at L’Ubu in Rennes on February 3, 2027 at 7:00 PM.
