El Tri

On October 12, 2026, El Tri arrives at Sala Razzmatazz in Barcelona. Formed in Mexico City in the early 1980s as a continuation of Three Souls in My Mind, the band is built around Álex Lora — voice, guitar and the pen behind a Spanish repertoire that faces head-on the street, politics, migration and precariousness. Their sound crosses rock and roll and blues rock with the drive of rock urbano and Latin rock, featuring direct lyrics and an often ironic tone.

On stage, El Tri revisits a wide-ranging catalogue: from Simplemente (1984), Hecho en México (1985) and Niño sin amor (1986) to Cuando tú no estás (1997), Fin de siglo (1998) and No podemos volar (2000). The band has released several live albums, an MTV Unplugged in 2004 and symphonic projects that expand the format without abandoning the electric foundation. They have shared studio work with Carlos Santana on Virgen Morena and with Miguel Ríos on Madre Tierra. In recent years the group has continued releasing records such as Ojo por ojo (2013), Queremos Rockear (2019), Que chingón (2022) and Yo quiero ser tu celular (2024). In Barcelona, the set promises to blend classics from their repertoire with recent material, stamped with the raw, streetwise character that has accompanied Álex Lora from the beginning.
