Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn, the duo behind Everything But The Girl, bring their ongoing MOTH Club residency back to London on 13 December 2026 at the MOTH Club, Valette Street. On stage as a part-acoustic, part-electronic duo, they revisit four decades of songwriting together and apart, remapping familiar tracks with the restraint and clarity that have marked their journey from folk-leaning beginnings to electronic textures. Tracey Thorn’s low, unforced voice meets Ben Watt’s subtle guitar, keys and programming, a dialogue they’ve been refining since the early ’80s.
They’re joined by Rex Horan on double bass, whose warm, unhurried lines ground the set, and by Family Stereo’s Blake Watt on guitar and vocals, adding close harmonies and extra colour without crowding the songs. Expect a setlist that pulls across eras: early, more acoustic pieces, later material shaped by house and downtempo influences, and solo cuts that show how each artist’s writing feeds the other. It’s a rare chance to hear their catalogue distilled in an intimate club setting, with arrangements stripped back just enough to let the melodies and lyrics lead.
