Schur

Schur returns to the stage on November 2, 2026 at La Bulle Café in Lille. Originally from Connecticut and now based in New York, he carves a distinctive line between indie rock, alternative hip‑hop and flashes of reggae. First trained on guitar under the influence of Led Zeppelin, he has developed a songwriting style where riffs rub up against rap beats, rap‑style vocals intersect with sung lines, and melodies meld with modern rhythms. Marked by references such as Kanye West, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, he shapes tracks in which the structure of the lyrics matters as much as the energy of the production. His releases, from the single Gullwing Bravado to The Unsure Mixtape, map out a mobile, direct sound nourished by his comings and goings between Connecticut and New York. After a quickly sold‑out run at the Café de la Danse, Schur does it again with a live show that capitalizes on this mix of taut guitars, punchy loops and introspective words, carried by a nomadic energy that captures what he picks up on the road and turns into songs.
