Liverpool singer-songwriter Jamie Webster treads the line between British folk, indie rock and social storytelling. First noticed in the mid-2010s at pub gigs and BOSS nights linked to Liverpool FC, where terrace chants shifted into acoustic singalongs, he now brings a catalogue of original songs about working life, city streets and inequality. We Get By (2020) introduced a plainspoken voice with guitar-led choruses; Moments (2022) broadened the palette with a full band and a wider folk-rock pulse; 10 For The People (2024) deepens the narrative thread, from close-up portraits to openly political pieces. On stage, Webster blends solo intimacy with a choral feel, the band carrying refrains made for shared vocals. Jamie Webster will be at Manchester Academy in Manchester on 11 September 2026.
