Barenaked Ladies

Canada’s Barenaked Ladies bring their melodic alternative pop-rock — part folk, part wit, with tight harmonies — to O2 Academy Glasgow on 6 December 2026. Formed in Scarborough in 1988, the band built an identity on quick-fire wordplay, acoustic-electric interplay and four-way vocals. The current lineup gathers Ed Robertson, Jim Creeggan, Kevin Hearn and Tyler Stewart, the quartet that has carried the project since 2009.

First celebrated at home with Gordon (1992), Barenaked Ladies reached a wider audience with Stunt (1998) and Maroon (2000), delivering songs that still anchor their setlists: If I Had $1000000, One Week, Pinch Me. Between albums like Everything to Everyone and Detour de Force, they also penned the theme for The Big Bang Theory, a neat summary of their taste for hooks and storytelling.

On stage, the band leans into harmonies, instrumental swaps and flashes of improvisation, mixing fan favorites with newer cuts. Three decades on, they keep the tone playful and the arrangements tight, letting the songs do the talking while the crowd fills in the choruses.
