On 13 May 2026 at Bush Hall, London, Hiss Golden Messenger brings MC Taylor’s shape-shifting folk and country-soul songs to the stage. Born in Durham, North Carolina after the end of The Court & Spark, the project moves as a loose collective around Taylor’s writing, where clear guitars, warm organ tones and an organic pulse carry stories that sit between folk, alternative country, country rock, blues and gospel. From the stark sketches of Bad Debt and the road-mapped Haw to the Merge years opened by Lateness of Dancers, the catalogue has unfolded through Heart Like a Levee, Hallelujah Anyhow, Terms of Surrender, Quietly Blowing It and, most recently, Jump for Joy.

Live, Hiss Golden Messenger leans into that blend with a band that breathes the songs in real time, leaving space for harmonies, pocket grooves and an unfussy swing.
