On 24 June 2026, Wembley Arena hosts a Canadian double bill: Alexisonfire and Billy Talent share the stage for a night that moves from post-hardcore tension to sharp, melodic punk. Two bands with parallel paths and distinct voices land in London for a set built on riffs, hooks and urgency.
Alexisonfire formed in 2001 in St. Catharines, Ontario, shaping a blend where abrasive guitars collide with sung choruses and cathartic screams. After a raw self-titled debut, the band refined its writing on Watch Out!, then pushed heavier and darker on Crisis and Old Crows / Young Cardinals. Reunited on stage and back in studio with Otherness in 2022, they channel punk roots into broader, atmospheric edges without losing intensity.
Billy Talent took root earlier near Toronto, first under the name Pezz, before emerging in the 2000s with a mix of punk rock, post-hardcore and alternative. Driven by Benjamin Kowalewicz’s voice and Ian D’Sa’s riffs, they shaped melodic choruses on Billy Talent and Billy Talent II, expanded the palette on III and Dead Silence, and kept momentum with Afraid of Heights and Crisis of Faith. Their set balances taut rhythms, punchy hooks and lyrics that tap into social friction and personal fault lines.
