Freya Ridings brings the Mother of Pearl Tour to Cardiff on 1 October 2026 at New Theatre. The London-born singer shapes piano- and guitar-led songs between pop, folk and soul, with a deep voice carried by stripped-back arrangements. On stage, she moves between Lost Without You, You Mean the World to Me and Castles, pages from Blood Orange, and new pieces prepared for this tour.
Since her early live recordings and her 2019 debut album, Ridings has taken her music from quiet solo moments to fuller band textures while keeping the writing upfront. She has shared stages with Tears for Fears, Tash Sultana and Lewis Capaldi and appeared at Glastonbury in 2019, experiences that inform a set built around dynamics and space. In Cardiff, the show connects her first releases to her latest work, balancing intimate ballads, steady mid-tempo grooves and piano-led climaxes.
