On 21 October 2026, Allie X plays Manchester Academy in Manchester. Between Ontario and Los Angeles, Alexandra Ashley Hughes has shaped a pop project where introspective writing meets conceptual imagery and electronic edges. From Catch and the CollXtion era to Super Sunset and the darker storytelling of Cape God, her path moves through synth-pop, art pop and dark pop, sharpened again with 2024’s Girl With No Face.

On stage, she works the tension between persona and privacy: stylised silhouettes, tight colour palettes and a theatrical sense of space frame songs about identity, distance and vulnerability. The set shifts from cool, pared-back ballads to nervy, driving tracks, built on dense textures, direct melodies and beats that nod to the club while keeping the focus on the voice. Visual design and performance extend the themes in the music, using alias and anonymity as moving parts rather than masks. In Manchester, she threads these chapters into a clear, cinematic live narrative.
