The Fratellis « Celebrating 20 years of Costello Music »

The Fratellis bring their 20 Years of Costello Music tour to The Great Hall, Cardiff on 6 March 2027. Formed in Glasgow in 2005, the trio — Jon, Baz and Mince Fratelli — honed a direct indie rock sound, sitting between garage, power pop and tight, distinctly British riffs. Their debut album, Costello Music (2006), laid the foundations with tracks that became essential, including “Chelsea Dagger,” “Whistle for the Choir,” “Henrietta” and “Flathead,” blending taut guitars with earworm choruses.

For this anniversary date, the band dives back into the songs that launched their story, revisiting the raw energy and sense of rhythm that marked their early years. Since then, The Fratellis have widened their palette with We Need Medicine, Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied, In Your Own Sweet Time and Half Drunk Under a Full Moon, without losing their melodic instinct. Expect a set heavy on Costello Music, complemented by standout tracks from their later work. Special guests have been announced to complete the evening.
