Two Door Cinema Club brings its crisp, melodic take on indie rock to Cardiff Castle in Cardiff on 2 August 2026. Formed between Bangor and Donaghadee, the trio of Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird airmails brisk guitar hooks and sleek synth lines into tight, immediate songs. Across Tourist History and Beacon through Gameshow and False Alarm to Keep On Smiling, the band has folded post-punk revival energy into pop structures and electronic textures. On stage, that mix swings from nervy rhythms to luminous riffs and synth-driven grooves, carried by the trio’s precise interplay.
Supporting, Friendly Fires push the tempo. The St Albans trio blends indietronica, dance-punk, nu-disco and pop, powered by nimble basslines, bright guitars and Ed Macfarlane’s elastic vocals. From the early EPs to their albums Friendly Fires and Pala, then the return marked by Inflorescent, they thread club momentum with clean, melodic hooks, warming the room before Two Door Cinema Club.
