Les Vulves Assassines (space punk-rap):
Les Vulves Assassines are space punk-rap, featuring DJ Conant and MC Vieillard, two screaming female rappers on the machines, and Samy on electric guitar. Les Vulves Assassines go all out: singing in unison, making your ears bleed. And above all, they make you think. Their two albums, Godzilla 3000 (2019) and Das Kapital (2022), tackle important topics: class struggle, extraterrestrials, unemployment, abortion, big muscles, and love. In 2023, their song “La Retraite” was played at trade-union demonstrations in France. Marxist and feminist, they sing the future.
Poésie Zéro (shitty punk):
It’s a very angry (and stupid) punk act, accompanied by two volunteer employees who are “quasi-musicians,” always on the verge of being fired at every gig. The band has released ten albums, more or less racy (every punk cliché is on display), a bunch of videos—some more widely aired than others—and, to top it all off, the “band” is doing everything it can to spread the International Federation of Poésie Zéro across the globe so there will be Poésie Zéro in every city and they can put an end to concerts for good.
