The Proclaimers

The Proclaimers land at Nöjesfabriken in Karlstad, Sweden on 26 September 2026. Formed in 1983 by twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, the Scottish duo carved a sound that threads folk rock, roots and pop with a punk-leaning energy. Tight two-part harmonies and a clear Leith accent carry songs that swing between personal narratives, social observations and straight-talking politics. Early albums This Is the Story (1987) and Sunshine on Leith (1988) put them in the spotlight with Letter from America, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and Sunshine on Leith. The path since then runs through Hit the Highway, a return with Persevere, a collaboration with Edwyn Collins on Born Innocent, and a steady line of releases including Life with You, Notes & Rhymes, Like Comedy, Angry Cyclist and Dentures Out in 2022.

On stage, they move easily from stripped-back acoustic bite to full-band drive, keeping the focus on melody, pulse and words you can actually catch. It’s a set built on a catalogue that still connects, carried by two voices that lock together with the ease of family.
