Colleen presents 'Libres Antes Del Final'

Since the early 2000s, Cécile Schott (Colleen) has developed her own language in which composition and listening go hand in hand. Over more than two decades, her music has explored repetition, timbre and form as spaces of attention, always from an intimate and patient sensibility.

On 'Libres antes del final' (Thrill Jockey, 2026), Colleen centers her work on analog synthesis, constructing the songs from modulated synthesizers with an almost bodily attention. That approach extends to the way the record relates to space: the entire album was reamplified at Casa Montjuïc, allowing its acoustics, its air and its proportions to be naturally integrated into its sonic memory.

For that reason, the presentation in Barcelona is arranged as two distinct concerts on the same night. It will take place on April 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Casa Montjuïc. The first, at Casa Montjuïc, serves as the point of origin — a return of the sound to the place that helped shape it. Later, at Laut, the music is reinterpreted in a different environment, with Colleen positioned in the middle of the floor, offering the audience a wholly physical and singular listening experience.
