Purity Ring - Place Of My Own Tour

Purity Ring, the Edmonton-born duo of vocalist-lyricist Megan James and producer Corin Roddick, brings the Place of My Own Tour to Toronto. Since the early single Ungirthed and their debut album Shrines (2012), they’ve shaped a blend of treated vocals, melodic synths and hip-hop-leaning beats. Another Eternity (2015) opened their writing toward a brighter edge while keeping the tension between airy sonics and darker lyrics. WOMB (2020) and the Graves EP (2022) pushed their intimate, dream-tinged electronics further, and collaborations with artists like Danny Brown have traced bridges between experimental pop and rap.

On stage, James’s voice threads through Roddick’s reworked arrangements, with songs shifting and swelling from hushed to driving without losing clarity. The live set is anchored in texture, rhythm and lyrics that linger.

Purity Ring plays on May 11, 2026 at The Opera House, 735 Queen Street East, Toronto. The group partners with PLUS1, with $1 per ticket supporting organizations working for equity, access and dignity. They also request that attendees wear a high-filtration mask (N95 or KN95); free masks will be available at the door.
