Jim E. Brown, a 19-year-old singer and poet from Manchester, returns to Paris on March 13, 2026, at Point Ephémère (200 Quai de Valmy, 75010 Paris) for a set that balances clear-eyed melancholy with dark humour. After solo tours from Australia to the United States, from the UK to mainland Europe, and a few side outings with Lebanon Hanover, he will unveil new songs alongside his signature pieces. With a deep voice, spare melodies and raw lyrics, he probes contemporary melancholy, obsession and the everyday’s quirks with unflinching candour.
Marie Klock opens the evening with her pocket-sized pop and a versatile synth. Born in Lorraine, she writes in a direct, tender and slightly mocking voice, carried by minimalist earworms that fit in the hand and stick in the mind. Short songs, sticky choruses and a keen sense of the moment: a contemporary troubadour who sings about solitude, backup plans and little everyday epiphanies, unvarnished. Economy of means, plenty of wit, and a knack for transforming the stage into a street corner or a shared living room.
