Ben Mazué has cultivated the art of storytelling. A French singer-songwriter, he blends singing and spoken word to chronicle everyday life: firsts, breakups, fatherhood and lasting friendships. His precise lyricism rests on supple melodies, framed by guitar, keyboards and light percussion. On stage he unfolds a narrative thread, alternating intimate confidences and choruses, playing with silence and sudden breaks, while his musicians lay down an understated groove. The songs “33 ans,” “La femme idéale” and “Paradis” take on a different color live, with arrangements that bring out new shades.
