Info
On June 16, 2027, at Jazz Cafe in London, Clinton Fearon comes back to the songs he helped write and shape with The Gladiators, the Jamaican roots reggae group where he spent eighteen years as bassist, singer and co-writer. This show is built around that catalogue: the steady basslines, the storytelling voice, and the sharp, socially minded lyrics that made tracks like “Chatty Chatty Mouth” and “Looks Is Deceiving” stick for decades.
Backed by his band The Riddim Source, Fearon doesn’t treat this like a museum piece. Brass, percussion and backing singers join in to bring back the three-part harmonies he originally arranged for the trio, while keeping the groove tight and alive. Expect a set that moves between classic roots drive and the more stripped-down, song-first approach he’s carried into his solo work, with the same calm authority at the mic and a bassist’s sense of pulse leading the way.
