Info
Diyar is a musical event bringing together three figures of Iranian music: the voice of Shahram Nazeri, Kaykhosro Pournazeri, grand master of the tanbur and a figure in its revival, and composer Tahmoures Pournazeri, whose contemporary compositions and arrangements connect Iran's musical heritage with a new generation of listeners.
For the first time, at Meridian Hall on November 7, 2026, Shahram Nazeri performs a new body of work composed by Tahmoures Pournazeri, following their collaboration Amoo Nowruz. Joined by musicians and vocalists, Diyar brings together contemporary Iranian music, the mystical tradition of the tanbur, and the rhythmic energy of Kurdish music in a live experience performed in Persian and Kurdish.
