Info
On 16 April 2027 at O2 Academy Brixton in London, The Wombats bring “A Guide to Love, Loss and Desperation” back into the spotlight, leaning into the sharp, melodic rush that first put them on the map. Expect that classic Liverpool indie-rock snap: nervy guitars, punchy rhythms, choruses that stick fast, and lyrics that keep one foot in irony while circling anxiety, relationships, and everyday contradictions. With Matthew Murphy, Dan Haggis and Tord Øverland Knudsen locked in as a trio, the set should move easily from early guitar-driven urgency to the slicker, synth-tinged edge that’s shaped their later records, without losing the band’s danceable backbone.
Cherryholt open the night with their tight British indie-pop attack, built on crisp guitars and immediate hooks. Their live setup puts the band’s interplay front and centre, balancing melodic lines with a direct, energetic drive that’s made them a strong fit on bills alongside bigger UK indie names.
