On May 15, 2027, at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, Nevermore brings together two bands who like heavy music when it’s both punishing and detailed.
Rivers of Nihil have carved out their own lane in modern American death metal: technical precision, progressive turns, and a real sense of atmosphere. Built around sharp, intricate guitar work and deep, forceful vocals, their set is the kind that shifts from dense, fast riffs to more open, melodic passages without losing intensity. Expect the band to pull from their concept-driven run of albums, from The Conscious Seed of Light and Monarchy to the more expansive palettes of Where Owls Know My Name and The Work.
London’s URNE opens the night with a grimy, hard-hitting blend of sludge, hardcore tension, thrash flashes and classic metal weight. After Serpent & Spirit and the more direct, grief-tinged A Feast on Sorrow, they’ve been pushing toward longer, more progressive structures, hinting at what’s next in their songwriting while keeping that raw, physical live punch front and center.
