On December 18, 2026, the Soweto Gospel Choir makes a stop at the Casino de Paris with POU ZOT!, a show that blends gospel fervor with South African freedom songs. On stage, more than thirty voices amplify the collective impact: tight harmonies, call-and-response, rhythmic pulse, and that very direct way of drawing the audience in, between Afro-American spirituals and the South African repertoire.
Designed as a tribute to the momentum carried by Nelson Mandela, the concert also traverses classics popularized by Miriam Makeba and Hugh Masekela, and allows for detours into soul and pop, from Sam Cooke to Leonard Cohen. True to its identity, the choir makes tradition and covers dialogue with a group energy that transforms each piece into a shared moment, between intensity, contemplation and celebration.
