Info
On February 27, 2027, The Fisherman’s Friends bring their Cornish sea-born harmonies to Salisbury City Hall in Salisbury. Formed in Port Isaac in 1995, the collective isn’t a polished pop choir: it’s a group shaped by real maritime life, where voices grew out of fishing, harbour routines, and sea rescue. On stage, they lean into sea shanties and traditional nautical songs, built on tight a cappella blend and lifted, when it fits, by simple folk instrumentation that keeps the focus on the chorus.
Their journey runs from early self-released albums like Suck’em and Sea to wider recognition with records such as Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends and One and All, plus later chapters like Proper Job and Sole Mates. Expect a set that plays with oral tradition and community spirit, the kind of singing meant to be shared in a room, not just streamed. And if you know them from the Fisherman’s Friends films, this is where the story started: live voices, straight from the shanty roots.
