On September 23, 2027, Agnes Obel settles into L’Olympia in Paris to unfold her distinct universe, between chamber-pop, intimate folk, and writing that borrows as much from classical music as from song. Pianist, composer and singer, the Dane constructs pieces where the piano leads the dance, carried by a voice of chiaroscuro and harmonies layered with millimetric precision.
On stage, her titles often take the form of a small chamber-music ensemble: strings, delicate textures, acoustic dynamics and silences that matter as much as the notes. From Philharmonics to Aventine, then Citizen of Glass and Myopia, one finds this taste for repetitive motifs, minimalist arrangements and hushed, almost cinematic atmospheres. A concert conceived as an immersion, at once sober and highly crafted, where every detail of interpretation repositions the light on the essentials: the melody, the tension, and the breathing of the songs.
